Presenting the Certified Dyans, a trio that needs no introduction. A talented Amapiano music-producing and DJ trio based in Cape Town, and signed to the Mathiclan Events record label. Khona Daki, Lulwando Tose, and Azania Mfinyongo make up the dynamic group, with each member bringing their unique talents and skills to the table. At the ages of 20 and 21 Khona, Lulwando, and Azania are already making a name for themselves in the music Industry.

They are currently studying at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, where they are pursuing their passion for music and perfecting their craft. Certified Dyans agree that working together is the most excellent tactic since it fosters feelings of belonging (by understanding one’s role in the band) and equilibrium (via being able to put one’s energy toward something other than oneself).

One of the trio’s members Khona told Newstrend source that the band is at its most vibrant when everyone pitches in and that this is because they rely so heavily on one another to achieve their professional goals. Khona doesn’t allow his background to determine his future; he has so much faith in the group that he reimagined the rebirth of the legendary Brenda Fassie from the Certified Dyans.

“As a singer, seeing Brenda Fassie’s success gives me hope because my family and I are also from a township in Cape Town. He went on and said “It was proof that anyone no matter the background can achieve international notoriety through hard work and talent,” he said.

Azania takes us to a point in history before the Certified Dyans were even conceived. It all began when the three were still in school; their unique sound impressed their contemporaries from the start. “As children, we were often making up songs and playing them for each other. It was a group effort, including contributions from both students and bus drivers,” as Azania recounted.

He recalls how everyone they met gushed over their abilities and encouraged them to take their music career seriously. Their careers as musicians really took off after this point. Their expanded discography is a testament to their success, which was boosted by their work with some of Africa’s most prominent musicians.

According to Lulwando, “Recent collaborators include Mr. Brown, Baby Boy AV from Nigeria, and Soulful G, the ‘Asiyeke’ hitmaker.” The Certified Dyans have maintained a continuous work ethic since then, earning the respect of established musicians who saw fit to contribute to their next EP as guests.

“We’re putting out an EP soon.” Lulwando said, “We got pumped up by a bunch of musicians, like Soulful G, Mr. Brown, Sbuda, and Baby Boy Av.” He mentioned that the members of his group would like to work with Ololade Asake, an Afrobeats enthusiast and admirer of the crew’s work on the Amapiano album.

“The success of these two genres has arisen from their capacity to attract listeners from a wide variety of cultural and musical backgrounds. This will also aid in eradicating xenophobia, the most pressing issue of our time.” Lulwando concluded
